R-E-A-D

In May of 2010, R-E-A-D (Rejuvenating Excellence & Accomplishing Dreams) was birthed after attending a Mother/Daughter Tea and my daughter’s impassioned desire to meet the immediate needs of disenfranchised, food-insecure as well as medically-underserved communities.  Under our tutelage, high school-aged young women are empowered to unequivocally know that their possibilities are limitless; through faith-based initiatives, academic accountability and civic engagements.

Our mission is to cultivate today’s young women into tomorrow’s global ambassadors.

Our vision is to instill the spirit of humanitarianism and volunteerism in every member.

Our members participate in EVMS, NASA, local universities and STIHL, Inc. educational programs, coordinate college campus tours and explore historically relevant museums.  This program shapes and channels young women's well-roundedness to unequivocally know that their possibilities are boundless. Our butterflies have taken flight into professional arenas of Corporate Management, Education, Literary Works, Public Health Administration, United States Armed Forces and so much more!
